Patient Care

Soft Lenses

Soft lenses are routinely used today to correct refractive errors such as nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism. Today's technology and health driven objectives provide a standard of care that is unique to each individual patient. This style of contact lens is available for:

o Astigmatic corneas (toric lenses)
o Bifocal lenses (multiple designs available)
o Continuous Wear lenses
o Cosmetic Color lenses
o Farsightedness (hyperopia)
o Nearsightedness (myopia)
o Presbyopia (needing reading glasses)

The contact lens specialist, the physician and the patient are all a vital part of this decision making process.

This is a soft lens. As you can see it is wet and flexible

This patient is wearing a soft lens. The lens is larger than the cornea. You can see the edge of the lens laying on the white part of the eye.
