The Dean McGee Eye Institute provides the full spectrum of patient care services from routine eye exams to the most complex surgical procedures and clinical research protocols. Patients may be evaluated at the Institute without a physician referral or on referral from their physician . If you wish to be seen as a patient, you may contact us using the telephone numbers in our telephone directory . You may choose an individual physician, a given problem area (such as "pediatric ophthalmology"), or you may simply call the main institute number, and we will help you. Ophthalmologists at the Institute participate in a wide range of insurance and managed care plans. When you call, you will be asked if you have health care coverage. If you do, please have that information available for our appointment staff. This will facilitate the appointment process and your subsequent registration at the Institute.
