Bio

Jeremy Reitinger, MD, who grew up in Colorado Springs, Colorado, is a clinical assistant professor practicing comprehensive ophthalmology and overseeing the ophthalmology inpatient consult service.

Dr. Reitinger earned his undergraduate degree (integrative physiology) at the University of Colorado in Boulder, followed by medical school at Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska. The recipient of a number of medical school scholarships, Dr. Reitinger was very active in student government at Creighton and served as class president in 2017-2018 and president of the Ophthalmology Interest Group in 2020-2021. His ophthalmology residency years were spent alongside his wife (family medicine) at the Indiana University School of Medicine. He served as chief resident during his last year of residency and completed a two-year leadership in medicine program/certificate. 

Dr. Reitinger is a big outdoorsman – anything from running to fishing to skiing. He prioritizes exercise and outdoor adventures as much as possible outside of work.
