Bio

Ravi R. Pandit, MD, MPH is a fellowship-trained, board-certified surgical and medical retina specialist. A native of Pennsylvania, Dr. Pandit earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics (summa cum laude) at the University of Pittsburgh. He completed medical school at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and his ophthalmology residency at the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Pandit pursued advanced fellowship training in vitreoretinal surgery at Wills Eye Hospital. He additionally holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from the Bloomberg School of Public Health at Johns Hopkins, with certification in Health Management and Public Health Informatics. Dr. Pandit has received numerous clinical excellence, research, and teaching awards during and after his medical training.

Dr. Pandit previously served as Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology, Associate Director of Ocular Trauma, and Assistant Chief of Service at Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He currently serves as the National Disaster Chair of the American Society of Ophthalmic Trauma and on the Credentials Committee for the American Society of Retina Specialists.

Dr. Pandit is an active member of the American Board of Ophthalmology, American Academy of Ophthalmology, and American Society of Retina Specialists. He has numerous peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and online publication in leading ophthalmology and retina publications.
